Ethics and copyright
Publication ethics
Authors must not submit work that has been published elsewhere or is under consideration by another journal. Plagiarism, fabricated data, and undisclosed conflicts of interest are not accepted. Authorship should reflect actual contribution to the work. Research involving human participants or sensitive data should report relevant ethics approval and consent.
Editors and reviewers are expected to handle manuscripts confidentially and to declare any conflicts of interest.
Copyright
Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles are made available under terms that allow reading and reuse with attribution. Specific licence details will be stated on each article.
Data and code
Authors should indicate how readers can access supporting data or code, where this is possible and appropriate. Restrictions on access should be explained.
